Proton’s Emas launched in Geneva "The 80th Geneva International Motorshow"

Yesterdays the concept version of the car, shown in three variants, was launched at the Geneva Inter­national Motor Show yesterday by Proton adviser Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. The Concept Car will production by 2012.

Unveiled at the 80th International Motor Show in Geneva, Proton's first concept car - Proton Emas, a family of low environmental impact cars that is set to revolutionise traditional segmentation in the car market.
The concept car, a creative collaboration between PROTON, Italdesign Giugiaro and Lotus Engineering, is based on a plug-in hybrid drive system and was developed with the aim of optimising the available on-board space and car access ergonomics.
